A chill wedding celebration

We first met Alyx and Chris at Sugar Beach, a Viceroy Resort in St Lucia, for their engagement session just a few months before their wedding. They had traveled to the island to plan and prepare for their destination wedding in St Lucia, and from the moment we met, it was clear how relaxed, down-to-earth, and genuinely in love they were. Their session was full of laughter and tender moments as they ran barefoot along the beach and held each other in sweet embraces against the Caribbean backdrop.

From that day, we couldn’t wait to photograph their wedding. It was such an honor to be chosen to document their celebration. The wedding weekend began with a lively welcome dinner overlooking the majestic Petit Piton. As the sun dipped low, casting a golden glow across the sky, the atmosphere became warm, vibrant, and full of excitement — the perfect beginning to a love-filled weekend.

Wedding day

The wedding day dawned with perfect St Lucian weather, setting the tone for a magical celebration. Alyx spent the morning getting ready surrounded by her closest friends and family, with one of the top glam teams at Sugar Beach Viceroy ensuring every detail was flawless. The atmosphere was light, carefree, and filled with excitement for the day ahead. In the villa’s luxurious bedroom, Alyx slipped into her stunning wedding gown, sharing special moments with her friends before the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Chris chose a more relaxed start to the day, enjoying champagne and leisure time by the villa’s pool—a perfect way to stay cool before the tropical heat of the St Lucia sun.

The ceremony, officiated by a close family friend, was brief yet unforgettable, framed by breathtaking ocean views and elegant decor. After exchanging vows, the couple joined a fun cocktail hour, after we captured a few quick formal portraits of the newlyweds.

The reception was a lively celebration, featuring interactive games, bar and food stations, a huge dance floor, and live music from a violinist, band, and DJ. Guests danced and celebrated late into the evening, culminating in a serene moment on the main beach. Gathered around a glowing bonfire, everyone watched the spectacular fireworks display—a truly unforgettable end to a day of relaxed luxury and joy.
